BELLEVUE HIGH SCHOOL

bellevue_logo High school lacrosse is an ASB school club at Bellevue High School.  The Wolverines boys program was founded in 1990 while girls lacrosse was first played in 1992.  Together, the Bellevue boys and girls lacrosse programs have won 14 Washington Lacrosse State Championships with the boys dominating the state podium with 12 titles.  Bellevue is located just a short drive across the I-90  Lake Washington Floating bridge, just east of Seattle.

Student-Athletes to Watch in 2014

Boys:  Senior attack Hank Bethke, a three-time All-State selection (2013, ’12, ’11), that has committed to play NCAA D1 lacrosse at Ohio State… Senior midfielder Eric Haehl, a 2014 Pre-Season All-Conference First Team selection and-All-State Third Team selection in 2013  has committed to play NCAA D1 lacrosse at Richmond… Senior midfielder Ryan Eastes, who has committed to play NCAA D3 lacrosse at Endicott College… The Wolverines are ranked No. 49 in the nation by StudentSports.com in its “Fab 50″ pre-season poll… Senior LSM/Defender Chris Medzegian and defender Ryan Eskanazy, 2014 Pre-Season All-Conference First Team selection, along with junior attackman Campbell Alexieff, 2014 Pre-Season All-Conference Second Team selection, helped Bellevue High School win its sixth consecutive WIAA 3A state championship in football.

Forest Ridge

FOREST RIDGE SCHOOL OF THE SACRED HEART

High school lacrosse is a varsity sport at the all-girls Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart.  The Ravens girls program was founded in 1994 and in 2002 won a Washington Lacrosse State Championship.  The Forest Ridge School is located in Bellevue, Wash.,  just a short drive across the  I-90 Lake Washington Floating bridge, just east of Seattle.

Girls:  Senior Lindsey Kirkbride led all underclassmen in scoring during the 2013 season with 13 points (12g, 1a).  She also had 14 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers.

Newport

Newport High School (Boys)

newport_logoHigh school lacrosse is a multi-school club at Newport High School.  Formerly known as Sammamish-Newport, lacrosse has been played at the program since 2006 and is comprised students from Sammamish, Newport and Interlake High Schools and the International School in the Bellevue School District.  Newport, then known as Sammamish-Newport, was the state Division II runner-up in the 2002 Washington Lacrosse State Championships.  The schools are located in Bellevue, Wash., east of Seattle.

Boys:  Sammamish High School senior midfielder Ryley Martin and Interlake High School senior goaltender Morgan White are 2014 Pre-Season All-Conference Second Team selections… Senior midfielder Cooper Horton led all Sammamish-Newsport-Interlake underclassmen in scoring during the 2013 season with 34 points (28g, 6a) along with 35 ground balls… Junior midfielder Justin Lau along with sophomores Zach Trimble, a defender and Dalton Voeller, an attackman, helped Newport High School advance to the opening round of this fall’s WIAA 4A state tournament in football.

BELLEVUE EAST (Girls Multi-School Club)

High school lacrosse is a multi-school girls club at Bellevue East.  The sport of lacrosse has been played at the girls program since 2008 and is comprised primarily of students from Sammamish, Newport and Interlake High Schools in the Bellevue School District along with the International School.  Bellevue East won the 2011 Girls Division II Washington Lacrosse State Championship.  The program located in Bellevue, Wash., just a short drive across the I-90  Lake Washington Floating bridge, just east of Seattle.
