BOTHELL HIGH SCHOOL

High school lacrosse is a school club at Bothell High and was one of the first in state prep play beginning in 1981 as Inglemoor High School’s lacrosse program.   After just three years of play, the program disbanded,  but was reorganized in 2007 as the Northshore School District lacrosse program.  Bothell won the 2008 Boys Division II Washington Lacrosse State Championship.  The program, which is operated by the Northshore Lacrosse Club, is located in Bothell, Wash. north east of Seattle.

Student-Athletes to Watch in 2014

Boys:  Inglemoor High School senior defender Jacob Cartwright, a 2014 Pre-Season All-Conference Second Team selection and All-State Third Team selection in 2013,  ranked first on the Bothell-Inglemoor squad and fourth in Division I play with 139 ground balls.  He also had 6 points (3g, 3a)… Senior goaltender Rilyn Gherardini and junior midfielder Dale Goong play football for Bothell High School.  The pair helped the Cougars advance to this fall’s WIAA 4A state football tournament.

SHORECREST HIGH SCHOOL

High school lacrosse is a multi-school club at Shorecrest High Schoo.  The sport of lacrosse has been played since 2012 at Shorecrest and is comprised primarily of students from Shorecrest and Shorewood High Schools in the Shoreline School District.  The program, operated by the Shoreline Lacrosse Club, is located in Shoreline, Wash., just a short drive north of Seattle.

Boys:  Shorecrest senior attackman and two-time All-Conference selection(2013, ’12) Ethan Jensen led all highlanders in 2013 with 58 points (53g, 5a) and 17 ground balls…  Shorecrest sophomore midfielder Brigan Weaver, a 2013 All-Conference selection, was second in scoring last season with 45 points (22g, 23a). Defensively he led the Highlanders with 46 ground balls.
