LYNDEN HIGH SCHOOL

High school lacrosse is a multi-school club at Lynden High School.  The Lions boys program was founded in 2006 and is comprised primarily of students from Lynden High School but also includes students from the Lynden Academy, Lynden Christian School, and Providence Christian School NW.  The program, which is operated by the North County Lacrosse Club is  located in Lynden, Wash. along Washington state’s Canadian border near Bellingham.

Student-Athletes to Watch in 2014

Boys:  Junior attack and football player Jared Moffat, led underclassmen in 2013 with 19 points (14g, 5a).  He also grabbed 13 ground balls during his sophomore season… Senior Trevor Lange and juniors Blake Browning, Derrond Dunigan and Moffat all play football for Lynden High School.   The four helped Lynden win its third consecutive state Gridiron Classic title in this fall’s WIAA 2A state championship game with a 38-28 victory over No. 1-ranked Tumwater.

SEHOME-BELLINGHAM HIGH SCHOOLS

High school lacrosse is a multi-school club at Sehome-Bellingham.  The program was founded in 2005 and is comprised primarily of students from Sehome and Bellingham High Schools along with students from Ferndale High School and also available to students from Options High School.  The program, which is operated by the Whatcom Warriors Lacrosse Club, is located in Bellingham, Wash. along Washington state’s Canadian border.

Student-Athletes to Watch in 2014

Boys:  Sehome High School senior goaltender Andrew Hoemann, a two-time All-Conference selection (2013, ’12), has  committed to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at Florida’s Rollins College… Senior attackman Brady Lehman and sophomore midfielder Gavin Kaepernick helped Sehome’s football squad advance to the opening round of the WIAA 2A state tournament where it dropped a 52-22 decision to state runner-up Tumwater.
