Nathan Morris oversees athletics at Providence Classical Christian School in Lynnwood. Providence, with a high school enrollment of just 51, is one of the state’s smallest high schools.

With graduating classes hovering between eight and 13 students and the challenges of having 37 percent of its student body on the lacrosse squad, Providence has elected to embrace and excel in the sport as part of its formal athletics programs for students. Following 12-year career as an engineer at the Boeing Company, Nathan returned to academics as a math and science teacher with oversight of the school’s sports programs and coaching responsibilities in lacrosse and soccer.

Nathan earned a BS in engineering from Washington State University where he earned four NCAA track and field berths and was named to All-American honors as a senior. Providence lacrosse, which began with a 5th – 6th grade program in 2004, became a varsity sport in 2010 and has earned state tournament berths in 2010 and 2011. In soccer, the school won the 1B/2B state soccer championship in 2010.
