Rojas nets five to lead Curtis lacrosse past White River

BUCKLEY – Jason Rojas scored a season-high five goals to lead Curtis to a 13 – 11 boys high school lacrosse win over White River, Monday, at White River High School in Buckley.

lacrosse-stickThe sophomore attackman for the Vikings led all scores with his top-scoring performance. He now has 10 goals and three assists for 13 points in three games this season.

Curtis built a narrow 7 – 6 lead at the half then outscored White River 2 – 1 in the third to build a two-goal margin.  In the final quarter, the Hornets kept pace with four Curtis goals but were unable catch the Vikings.

Senior attackman Gavin Harderson led the Hornets with three goals and an assist.

Curtis (2-1-0) next faces Sumner (0-2-0), Tuesday, March 22 in an 8 p.m. start at Curtis High School in University Place. White River (1-1-0) next faces Bethel (0-1-0), Thursday, March 24 in a 7 p.m. start at Bethel High School in Spanaway.
