Wimmer Solutions to sponsor Seattle’s Seatown Lacrosse Classic

SEATTLE – Wimmer Solutions, a Seattle-based consulting, staffing, and managed services company, has rejoined the Washington State Chapter of US Lacrosse as a sponsor of the 2014 Seatown Lacrosse Classic.

Wimmer-Solutions-logoThe sponsorship will help facilitate the men’s lacrosse exhibition between 2014 World Championships finalist U.S. National Team and 2014 NCAA Men’s Division I finalist Notre Dame, Saturday, Oct. 18 at Starfire Sports in Tukwila. Game time is 2 p.m. PT. It’s the third consecutive year that Wimmer has helped bring high level lacrosse to the state of Washington.

“Wimmer Solutions is committed to supporting programs and events that shape our community in a positive way, and that’s why we’re thrilled to support the Seatown Classic and its efforts to bring high level lacrosse to Washington state,” said Wimmer Solutions CEO Matt Sauri.

A supporter of the inaugural Seatown Classic in 2012, Wimmer Solutions helped bring perennial national men’s powerhouses University of Maryland and University of Denver to the Seattle-area, while in 2013 the Seattle company helped bring Pac-12 women’s rivals Oregon and USC to the Seatown Classic.

Wimmer’s partnership with the Washington state lacrosse community is based on the company’s belief that participation with causes important to its business and employees can have real impact on communities.

“Community commitment is only possible by bringing all of our resources together,” said Sauri, who is driven by a deep sense of community that extends to both Wimmer’s community philanthropic support but also to the business relationships that the company forms.

Each year Wimmer’s community outreach program provides local support to some 30 groups in the Puget Sound region.

Company support includes 100 percent charitable gift matching for employees up to $1,000 per year, offering major grants and event sponsorships to a wide range of activities that positively effect the community, skills based volunteering, scholarships, and a robust in-kind donation program with a goal to help organizations offer a higher level of service to their constituents through up-to-date technology.

The 2014 Seatown Classic, includes two Washington state products Drew Snider and Peter Baum who will represent the United States in the exhibition matchup.

seatown_purchaseticketsSnider, a former Washington state high school All-American and prep lacrosse coach at Seattle’s O’Dea High School and Seattle-born Baum, the 2012 Tewaaraton Award winner, the lacrosse equivalent of the Heisman Trophy, were among the 24-man roster named earlier this week by US Lacrosse, the national governing body for the sport in the United States.

The Saturday, October 18 Seatown Classic matchup between Team USA and the Fighting Irish, marks the first time Snider and Baum will play at the collegiate or national team level in their native Washington state.
