Washington state prep lacrosse round-up for Dec. 23 – 31

SEATTLE —  High School lacrosse in Washington state continued to make news in state and national media as 2013 came to an end last week.

Among the “Best of 2013″ stories published last week was Eastside Catholic’s Colin MacIlvennie earning Male Athlete of the Year Honors with the Issaquah-Sammamish Reporter, the election of Issaquah High School boys coach Brandon Fortier to the Washington State Lacrosse Hall of Fame, NCAA lacrosse commitments by Meadowdale High School’s  Niko May and Jordan Tindall and Glacier Peak’s Jake Berg, a California lacrosse tournament win by middle school students in Woodinville along with a holiday blanket drive by Bellevue High School’s state champion boys lacrosse team that captured national attention with a story on StudentSports.com.
