Columbia River High School All-State lacrosse player Clayton Frank commits to NCAA Div. I Marist

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Columbia River High School senior Clayton Frank, who captains the King’s Way High School boys varsity lacrosse team, has committed to play lacrosse at NCAA Div. I Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Frank, a 2012 first-team All-State lacrosse selection at midfield and a 3A GSHL football first-team All-League and Offensive Player of the Year at quarterback, will join the Red Foxes for MAAC play as a freshman in the fall of 2014.

In 2012, the 6-0, 200 pound Frank helped King’s Way advance to the semifinals of the Washington Lacrosse High School State Championship tournament. He finished the 2012 regular season with 38 points (22g, 16a) and 48 ground balls.

Frank is the second Vancouver-area prep this year to commit to play lacrosse at an NCAA school.

This fall, Camas High School senior Jack Beall, a 2012 second-team All-State midfielder, who is a co-captain at King’s Way, committed to Division II Dominican University of California.
