Boys Division I

Hat tricks lead Curtis past Eastlake in boys lacrosse
UNIVERSITY PLACE – Jayden Todd, Carson Stewart and Alex Larson all scored hat tricks to lead Curtis to its sixth win of the season with a 12 – 3 boys high school lacrosse defeat of Eastlake, Wednesday at Curtis High School in University Place.

Larson, along with Kayden DelToro and Blake Voeller combined for 19 ground balls and Zachary Budnick had 17 saves in goal to lead the Viking defense.

Curtis (6-9-0) next faces Stadium (1-12-0) in its final game of the regular season, Saturday, May 12 in a 4 p.m. start at Curtis High School in University Place. Eastlake (5-8-0) next faces Issaquah (18-0-0), Friday, May 11 in an 8 p.m. start at Issaquah High School.

Tosaya leads Northshore past Puyallup with five goals
PUYALLUP – Drew Tosaya scored five goals to lead Northshore to its fourth win of the season with a 22 – 6 boys high school lacrosse defeat of Puyallup, Wednesday at Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup.

Puyallup jumped to an early lead, holding Northshore scoreless in the first to take a 2-0 lead into the second. But that was it as Northshore took advantage of a lack of intensity by Puyallup, scoring six in the second and five in the third for an 11 – 5 lead after three quarters. In the forth, both squads settled for a goal apiece to close-out the scoring.

Puyallup junior midfielder Kelson Kingery secured his first goal of the season in the game. Kingery also had a ground ball. Robert Abbott and Nolan Ernst led Puyallup scoring with two goals each.

Northshore (4-10-0) next faces Mukilteo (9-5-0), Friday, May 11 in an 8 p.m. start at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo. Puyallup (1-13-0) next faces King’s Way (8-8-0), Friday, May 11 in an 8 p.m. start at Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup.

Sternberg’s five goals leads Sammamish past Stadium in boys lacrosse
BELLEVUE – Sean Sternberg scored five goals to lead Sammamish to its eighth win of the season with a 17 – 4 boys high school lacrosse defeat of Stadium, Wednesday at Newport High School in Bellevue.

The win gave Sammamish is seventh-place finish in the Division I Northeast Conference.

A total of seven Sammamish players scored in the win. Along with Sternberg, Tyler Wright, Alex Wenzl and Cooper Horton all tallied three goals to round out the scoring leaders. Goaltender Morgan White had 13 saves for Sammamish.

Sammamish concludes its regular season with an 8-7-0 record. Stadium (1-12-0) next faces Curtis (6-9-0) in its final game of the regular season, Saturday, May 12 in a 4 p.m. start at Curtis High School in University Place.

Boys Division II

Mozeleski gets top performance in lax win over Garfield
VASHON ISLAND – Caz Mozeleski scored a season’s best seven goals to lead Vashon to a 19 – 3 boys high school lacrosse win on the last day of the Division II season.

The win gives the playoff-bound Vashon program its ninth win of the season. Garfield, which has 10 wins and now six losses will also take part in the post season.

Vashon scoring included six goals by Luke Hembree and two from John Smith. Goaltender Aaron Bomber had 15 saves.

In the first Vashon held Garfield to a single goal while putting up nine of its own. After a two-goal second to make it 11 – 2 at the half, Vashon added four more in each of the third and fourth quarters, while Garfield managed its lone second-half goal in the third.

Vashon completes its regular season with a 9-7-0 record. Garfield completes its regular season with a 10-6-0 record.
