Boys Division I

Lakeside lax upsets King’s Way in OT
SEATTLE – Hector Rhodes scored with 4:30 remaining in overtime to give Lakeside an 11 – 10 Boys Division I high school lacrosse upset of King’s Way, Friday at the Lakeside School in north Seattle. Rhodes bounced a 15-yard bullet over the right should of King’s Way goalkeeper Max Zandstra to secure the win and even the Lions record at 3-3-0. With Lakeside leading late in the fourth, King’s Way’s Zach Lindahl took a pass from Jack Beall to knot the game at 10 and force the extra period. King’s Way had a final opportunity to win it in regulation, but Lions goalkeeper Nick Canino denied a final shot by Jordan Goodspeed as time expired. Sten Jernudd had 3 goals, an assist and 9 ground balls for Lakeside and Canino had 11 saves in goal. Goodspeed had 4 goals and 6 ground balls, Beall had 5 assists and Zandstra had 18 saves in goal for King’s Way, which had its 3-game winning streak snapped.

Issaquah downs Bainbridge 5 – 2 in boys lacrosse
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. – Todd Jones scored 3 goals and O’Neil Hughes had 7 saves in goal as Issaquah got its 11th win of the season with a 5 – 2 Boys Division I high school lacrosse win over Bainbridge Island, Friday at Bainbridge Island High School. Keagan Ingrasei and Jordan Wagner scored for the Spartans in the loss. Bainbridge dropped to 6-8-0.

Undefeated MI downs Prep, extends unbeaten string to 13
MERCER ISLAND, Wash. – Connor Bernal scored 4 goals as undefeated Mercer Island extended its unbeaten string to 13 with a 19 – 2 Boys Division I high school lacrosse win over Seattle Prep, Friday at Islander Stadium. Jonathan Wettack and Colton Knebel each scored 3 goals for the Islanders who advanced to 13-0-0 on the season. Jack Maurer had 10 saves in goal for the Panthers.

North County downs Silver Lake in boys lacrosse
LYNDEN, Wash. – Edgar Mendoza scored 6 goals to lead North County to a 17 – 4 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win over Silver Lake, Friday at Lynden’s Bender Fields. The win was the second of the season for 2-7-0 North County. Silver Lake is winless in its 8 starts this season.

Blanchet drops Garfield in boys lacrosse
SEATTLE – Connor Black scored 4 goals to lead Blanchet to a 12 – 7 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win over Garfield, Friday at Seattle’s Genesee Park. The win advanced the Braves to 7-2-0 on the season. Carl Barnes had 2 goals and 6 ground balls for Garfield as the Bulldogs slipped to 5-3-0.

Roosevelt roughs up Franklin in boys lax
SEATTLE – Connor McCarthy scored 6 goals as Roosevelt extended its lock on first place in the Metro Conference with a 16 – 1 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win over Franklin, Friday at Seattle’s Lower Woodland Park. The win advanced the Roughriders to 8-3-0. Michael Ingles had 17 saves as the Quakers lost their ninth game in 10 starts.

REDMOND, Wash. – Redmond extended its record to 5 – 4 with a 13 – 0 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win over South Kitsap, Friday at Marymoor Park. South Kitsap dropped to 2-7-0 in the loss.

Wenatchee lax drops Three Rivers for Eastern Conference win
RICHLAND, Wash. – Connor Tidd and Rawley Holmberg each scored 4 goals as Wenatchee Valley Lacrosse extended its lock on the Boys Division II Eastern Conference by four-and-a-half games with a 9 – 4 win over second-place Three River, Friday at Badger Mountain Park in Richland. The win gave Wenatchee a 9-1-0 overall record (8-0-0 in league play). Four players scored for Three Rivers, which is now even at 5-5-0.

Lynnwood holds onto Cascade lead with win over Woodinville
LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Alex Tindall scored 8 goals as Lynnwood held onto a share of the Cascade Conference lead with a 17 – 2 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win over Woodinville, Friday at Lynnwood High School. The win extended Lynnwood’s record to 9-2-0. Colter Clinch and Keaton House each scored and Dalton Combs had 15 saves in goal as Woodinville dropped to 4-8-0.

Hale ups Highline in boys lacrosse
BURIEN, Wash. – Joey Chernick and Ian Harvey each scored 3 goals to lead Nathan Hale to a 7 – 5 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win over Highline, Friday at Burien’s Moshier Park. Spencer Adams had 10 saves in goal as the raiders crept closer to .500 with a 5 – 6 record. Highline’s Daniel Lee scored 3 goals and goaltender Corrigan Miller had 5 saves. With the loss, Highline is now 2-6-0.

Tacoma nets 16 in girls lacrosse win over Forest Ridge
BELLEVUE, Wash. – Katie Woodard scored 6 goals to lead Tacoma to a 16 – 9 Girls Division I high school lacrosse win over Forest Ridge, Friday at Bellevue’s Robinswood Park. Charlie Cisacowski had 10 saves in goal as Tacoma advanced to 5-4-0 on the season. Nicole Durham had 4 goals and Malena Harrang had 3 as Forest Ridge dropped to 2-6-0.

SEATTLE – Roosevelt High School downed Nathan Hale 13 – 3 in Girls Division I high school lacrosse action, Friday at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle. The win advanced the Roughriders to 4-5-0 on the season, while the Raiders dropped to 0-9-0.

Bainbridge girls score 21 goals to down Mercer Island
MERCER ISLAND, Wash. – Sydney Whitaker scored 5 goals, while Hannah Knotsman and Jaclyn Biggers each scored 4 as Bainbridge Island downed Mercer Island 21 – 8, Friday in Girls Division I high school lacrosse action at Islander Stadium. With the win, Bainbridge won its 8th straight game with an 8-1-0 record. The Spartans are 2 points behind first place Lakeside. Mercer Island’s Alena Skouras had 2 goals and Erika Eagan had 14 saves as the fourth place Islanders slipped to 6-3-0 in the loss.

Bellevue East earns lax win as North Kitsap forfeits
POULSBO, Wash. — Bellevue East advanced to 5-4-0 on Friday with a forfeit win over North Kitsap lacrosse. North Kitsap dropped to 1-6-0 after it was unable to field a team due to player injuries.

Undefeated Issaquah girls score 20 to down Snohomish lacrosse
ISSAQUAH, Wash. – Katie Mincin scored 6 goals as Issaquah marched to a 20 – 7 Girls Division II high school lacrosse win over Snohomish, Friday at Eastlake Community Field in Issaquah. The win advanced Issaquah to 8-0-0 on the season. Kaya Reilly scored 4 goals and Jessica Toy had 10 saves in goal as Snohomish dropped to 4-5-0.

Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. and in Washington State the sport has seen double-digit growth in six of the last eight years.
