Washington high school lacrosse scores for Tuesday, April 6

Boys Division I

Northshore tops Woodinville in boys lacrosse
BOTHELL, Wash. – Brothers Foster and Taylor Wisman combined for 7 goals as Northshore topped Woodinville 11 – 5 in Boys Division I high school lacrosse, Tuesday at Bothell High School. Foster Wisman scored 4 goals and collected 9 ground balls, while Taylor Wisman scored 3 goals, 1 assist and collected 12 ground balls as Northshore advanced to 3-2-0 on the season. Goaltender Charlie Peterson had 10 saves in the win. Kyle Barrett, Tyler Paris and Colter Clinch each had 2 goals and Drew Carolson-Rothe had 13 saves in goal for Woodinville, which dropped to 2-6-0.

Tahoma lacrosse drops Lynwood for first win
COVINGTON, Wash. – Brody Lundquist scored a season-high 5 goals and Justin Hanson made 21 saves in goal as Tahoma dropped Lynwood 10 – 6 for its first Boys Division I high school lacrosse win of the season, Tuesday at Tahoma High School. The loss was the first of the season for Lynwood. A total of 6 Tahoma players found the net in the win. Alex Tindall had 3 goals and 9 ground balls, while David Dekoukkouk had 12 saves as Lynwood dropped to 4-1-0 on the season.

Boys Division II

Roosevelt lacrosse drops Garfield to advance to 4-0
SEATTLE – Parker Williamson, Leo Baker and Eli Harmon scored three goals apiece as Roosevelt dropped Garfield 13 – 4 to advance to a perfect 4-0 in Boys Division II high school lacrosse action, Tuesday at Seattle’s Lower Woodland Park. Kevin Ault had 14 saves in goal for the Roughriders while Garfield’s Danny Strick had 16 saves as the Bulldogs dropped to 2-1-0.

Lake Washington controls Liberty in boys lacrosse
RENTON, Wash. – Ben Anderson scored 4 goals and Nathan Gouin had 1 goal, 4 assists and 11 ground balls to lead Lake Washington to a 15 – 1 Boys Division II high school lacrosse win, Tuesday at Liberty High School in Renton. A total of 10 Lake Washington players scored to advance to 4-1-0 on the season. Liberty remains winless at 0-4-0.

Girls Division II

Ballard lacrosse slips by Klahowya to even record
SEATTLE – Kelsey Barta scored 2 goals and collected 6 ground balls as Ballard slipped by Klahowya 10 – 9 in Girls Division II high school lacrosse, Tuesday at Ballard High School. Hannah Breton had 14 saves in goal as the Beavers evened their record at 2-2-0 on the season. Katie Smiley had 6 goals and Mauri Shearer had 14 saves as Klahowya dropped to 2-3-0.

Issaquah lacrosse 4-0 in defeat of Mukilteo
MUKILTEO, Wash. – Sisters Katie and Haley Mincin combined for 11 goals as Issaquah defeated Mukilteo 21 – 8 to advance to 4-0 on season in Girls Division II high school lacrosse action, Tuesday at Kamiak High School. Katie Mincin scored a season-high 9 points, with 6 goals and 3 assists while Haley Mincin scored 5 goals and 3 assists in the win. Mukilteo’s Megan McGrew had 10 saves in goal in defeat.

Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. and in Washington State the sport has seen double-digit growth in six of the last eight years. In 2010, over 2,700 high school students representing 83 boys (www.WHSBLA.org) and 55 girls (www.WSLAX.org) varsity and jv teams in eastern and western Washington compete in a nine-week season March – May. The annual Boys and Girls Washington State High School Championships take place in late May.
