Boys Division I

Bellevue lacrosse undefeated in defeat of Overlake
BELLEVUE, Wash. — Cole Nordstrom scored 4 goals as Bellevue advanced to a perfect 4-0 with a 16 – 6 Boys Division I high school lacrosse defeat of Overlake, Thursday at Wilburton Hill Park in Bellevue. Devon Schmidt had 2 goals and 13 ground balls for Overlake which evened its record at 2-2-0.

Oki nets OT winner as Lakeside downs Mukilteo in boys lacrosse
SEATTLE – Nick Oki scored his third goal in overtime to give Lakeside its first win of the season with a 9 – 8 defeat of Mukilteo, Thursday in Boys Division I high school lacrosse action at The Lakeside School in north Seattle.

With Lakeside leading 8-6 late in the fourth quarter, Mukilteo scored two goals in the final seconds of regulation to force the overtime period. In the extra stanza, Oki took a Hector Rhodes pass in front of the crease and fired-off the game winner. Mukilteo’s Riley Wanzer, Kevin McGowen and Colin Thompson each had 2 goals.

TACOMA, Wash. – Seth Oberst scored with 2:22 remaining in overtime to give Stadium its first win of the season with a 4 – 3 Boys Division I high school lacrosse defeat of Tahoma, Thursday at Mason Middle School. Bryce Busey had 3 goals as Stadium advanced to 1-3-0 on the season.

Northshore lacrosse downs Eastlake
BOTHELL – Foster Wisman scored 3 goals to lead Northshore to a 10 – 4 Boys Division I high school lacrosse win over Eastlake, Thursday at Bothell High School. The win evened Northshore’s record at 2-2-0, while Eastlake dropped to 1-3-0.

SNOQUALMIE, Wash. — Joesph Mernaugh, Casey Downey and Tanner Champagne each put up 3 goals as Redmond shut out Mt. Si. 18 – 0 in Boys Division II high school lacrosse, Thursday at Snoqualmie Middle School. The win advanced Redmond to 3-0-0, while upsart Mt. Si is winless, dropping to 0-3-0.

POULSBO, Wash. – Freshman Cody Olson scored 5 goals as Gig Harbor edged North Kitsap 10 – 9, Thursday in a Boys Division II high school lacrosse matchup at North Kitsap High School. With the win Gig Harbor evened its record at 2-2-0 while North Kitsap dropped to 1-3-0. Chaz Zacharof had 19 saves for NK in the loss.

Grace Hamilton had 16 saves as Lake Sammamish advanced to 3 – 1 – 0 on the season. Roosevelt’s Samantha Quamma and Angie Anderson each had 3 goals in the loss.

SAMMAMISH, Wash. –Lauren Breynaert and Alex foreman each scored 4 goals as Eastside Catholic dropped Bainbridge 15 – 2 in Girls Division II high school lacrosse, Thursday at the Eastside Catholic School in Sammamish. The win advanced the Crusaders to 4-1-0 on the season. Goaltender Laura Bricklin had 16 saves for Bainbridge in the loss.

About High School Lacrosse in Washington StateLacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. and in Washington State the sport has seen double-digit growth in six of the last eight years.
